MEDICAL INITIATIVES
At The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, we take on as many medical cases as we can. In addition to standard vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures, some of our dogs require more extensive medical treatment and care. As part of our mission to better the lives of dogs, we commit to the care of dogs even in the worst of conditions. In 2020 some of our medical cases included broken bones from being hit by a car, jaw reconstruction surgery from owner neglect following a bite from another dog, organ failure from years of abuse and neglect in hoarding situations, and more.
Our Medical Fund also supports dogs in need of dental surgery. Many dogs who have experienced severe neglect, especially senior dogs, arrive at our Rescue Center in desperate need of dental care, from cleanings to dental extractions to more complicated procedures. With surgery and post-op care costing anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000 per dog, medical costs add up quickly! Our Foundation is committed to giving these dogs a second chance at life, and with your help we can commit to saving even more lives.
